DENVER, Colo. & SEATTLE, Wash. — SunShare, one of the nation’s foremost community solar developers and owner-operators and the first to cross the threshold of 100+ megawatts of community solar, has entered into a comprehensive asset management agreement with Omnidian, a leading provider of performance assurance across a portfolio of over 4 gigawatts of distributed energy assets.

Under the agreement, Omnidian assumes operational accountability for an initial 30.6 megawatts of SunShare’s operating community solar portfolio, with a structured roadmap to integrate additional operating and development projects.

Operational Accountability Where Uptime Matters

Community solar economics depend on uncompromising availability. SunShare structured this agreement to align field execution directly with actual portfolio availability, pairing Omnidian’s proactive intelligence platform, RESOLV™, with local expert technician dispatch.

“Our subscribers, project partners, and investors count on these systems to meet production models,” said Corrina Kumpe, Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Legal Officer at SunShare. “We require an operating model where our asset management partner is fully committed to meeting those performance benchmarks. Omnidian’s ten years of experience delivering operational accountability and transparency with their shared-outcome focus on meeting or exceeding critical financial outcomes made them the right partner for SunShare.”

Enterprise Asset Management with Boots on the Ground

For SunShare’s operations team, Omnidian’s turnkey solution simplifies managing existing regions and supports geographical expansion.Through this agreement, Omnidian provides end-to-end operational oversight across the fleet:

  • Root-cause diagnostics prior to dispatch: Remote performance engineers isolate specific fault conditions — such as DC fuse failures, thermal clipping, or firmware anomalies — ensuring field crews arrive on-site with the correct scope, testing equipment, replacement hardware, and a clear punchlist for rapid remediation.
  • Closed-loop field service execution: Strict SLAs govern dispatch across a vetted, local network of field technicians. Work is validated by remote performance engineers to verify the site’s return to modeled baselines.
  • Dedicated operational ownership: Omnidian’s technical asset management team takes direct ownership of work order orchestration, service management, and warranty RMA workflows, preventing critical repairs from stalling.
  • Consolidated institutional reporting: Automated rollups deliver clear, auditable equipment metrics, ticket resolution histories, and energy indexes directly to SunShare’s team, streamlining compliance reporting.

“SunShare intimately understands that scaling distributed generation requires operational discipline,” said Matt Houser, Senior Director of Enterprise Solutions at Omnidian. “When an asset manager takes on a large portfolio of distributed solar, they need partners to seamlessly optimize and support their growth. We take that operational burden off their plate and hold ourselves accountable to real system availability.”
